Get Out the Vote

Get Out the Vote

Friends get friends to vote.  I’m not just making that up!  According to Donald P. Green and Alan S. Gerber authors of Get Out the Vote!: A Guide for Candidates and Campaigns, “….the dynamic interaction of authentic person-to-person contact that is most important in determining whether a method will successfully mobilize voters.” That is a very high-falutin’ way of saying …friends get friends to vote!

We can read and talk and post and tweet and tik tok and argue all we want – but none of that matters if we don’t get people out to VOTE for the candidates for the Texas Legislature who are most likely to prioritize public schools!

Registering to vote:

  • The last day to register to vote for the November 5 election is Monday, October 7.
